Fundraiser for Japanese earth quake and tsunami victims

So a suggestion was made on Sunday to have a fund raiser for Japanese earth quake and tsunami victims. In Sunday School we decided to hold a coffee house with all proceeds going to the victims.


So I was brain storming about what needs to be done.

1. Organization - we will need folks to help organize. I think this could be a big event for Skaneateles - if we want to are willing to put the work in!
2. Location - initially I thought of the parish hall, and then thought maybe a local business might be willing to host. We don't know until we ask! Right?
3. Food - bake sale "like" offerings from parishioners, possibly donations from local businesses? We don't know until we ask! Right?
4. Music - Our parish has lots of talented people, but maybe we can open this up to other local talent? We don't know until we ask! Right?
5. Set up and clean up crews, that's us! Plus more folks will be needed if because this is gonna get big!
6. We need to think about where we will send the fund, i.e. what organization will we choose to distribute the funds we raise.
